The Swedes were the first settlers to colonize the area where I'm from and there's still a lot of Swedish cultural stuff and references there. The Old Swedes Church, from 1698, is one of the oldest Protestant churches in North America--they do a St. Lucia celebration ever year. I'm a history lover so all that stuff just thrills me to bits.
